Summary:Background : Clinical forensic medicine is directly involved in medico legal aspect that related to living survivors of the crime and the alleged perpetrators. It is used to identify cause and severity of trauma. There are several types of forensic cases and all are recorded in medico legal report known as Visum et Repertum clinic. Objective: To describe the profile and distribution of the forensic cases in life victim based on gender, age, type of forensic cases, cause of trauma, location of crime, requested Visum et Repertum clinic that had taken in hospital. Method : This study is the observational descriptive study. Research subject is the whole medicolegal repot in life victim contained in Dr.Sardjito Hospital from year 2009 until 2011. We used checklist to collect data in this study. Results : The type of forensic case in life victim with highest is accident cases with percentage of 50%. Male are mostly involve in clinical forensic case with incidence 62%. Besides that, most of the Visum et Repertum clinic that requested are successfully taken. Then it also found that most of the clinical forensic cases accident cases 98%, assault cases 83%, rape cases 21% caused by blunt trauma. In male life victims the age group that involves most is range from 21 until 40 years old with percentage of 38%. However in female victims mostly the age range from 0 till 20 years old Conclusion : The incidence of the total forensic cases increases each year. The type of forensic case with highest incidence is the accident case. Higher incidence of accident cases in both male and female. Sleman with the highest incidence of forensic cases. Blunt trauma as the main cause of trauma in forensic cases. In male life victims of age group that involves most is range from 21 until 40 years and in female victims mostly the age range from 0 till 20 years old involved in it.
