It depends on the clinicians how to conduct their investigations. They can use the GERDQ for the assessment of symptoms or conduct an endoscopy to see if there is abnormality in gastro intestinal tract of the patients. Therefore, this research is done to know whether the GERDQ can be used or not to predict the presence of esophagitis in patients. We want to know if there is any difference of gastro-esophageal reflux disease (GERD) questionnaire scores in GERD patients with and without esophagitis. Aim: The aim of this study is to know the difference of gastro-esophageal reflux disease (GERD) questionnaire score in GERD patient with and without esophagitis. endoscopy Method: Cross sectional study design is used. 22 patients of GERD patients who undergo examination at RSUP Dr. Sardjito are selected for this research. Results: P value results of the independent sample t test for the variables is >0.05 (0.643), thus it is not significant proved. GERD patients with NERD cases are more reported than EE cases in this study. Conclusion: There is no difference between GERDQ score of GERD patients with and without esophagitis.
