Description
Summary:Background: Children is an investment for the nation, on the latest data from the UNDP, Human Development Index of Indonesia is ranked 121 of 184 countries in the world. Indonesia children's achievement also less than another country. One reason of that is the lack of children ability to concentrate in this school. The low of learning concentration can not lead to optimal achievement in children. It is known that the learning concentration of elementary school students in the Danurejan area is lower than another schools. Based on data from BPS (2012) the number of elementary school students who pass the final exam in Yogyakarta decreased from 98.98% to 68.74%. Several studies have shown that breakfast habits, nutritional status and physical fitness is related to learning concentrations Objective : To understand the contribution and correlation between frequency and type of breakfast, physical fitness, nutritional status and learning concentration of elementary school Method: This study using crossectional design. A total of 80 children were selected by random sampling. Recall questionnaires of breakfast, biographical data of respondents, physical fitness test, digit symbol test B of learning concentration, and nutritional status based on BMI/Age Results: There is a correlation between breakfast frequency (p = 0.00), energy breakfast (p = 0.00) physical fitness (p = 0.00) and learning concentration. There was no significant correlation between nutritional status (p = 0.96) and learning concentration. The regression analysis shows frequency and type of breakfast, nutritional status and physical fitness have contribution 81.8% of the student learning concentration. The linear regression equation obtained is 27.473 + 2.696 physical fitness + 3.152 frequency of breakfast + 5,148 type energy of breakfast + 1,361 nutritional status Conclusion: There is a strong and positive correlation between frequency and type of breakfast, physical fitness and learning concentration. There was no significant correlation between the nutritional status and learning concentration on this studies
