Description
Summary:The process of change that occurred in the study area have an impact on all aspects of human life inside. Monitoring and surveillance of the impact that ensues, became the basis of this study. This research was conducted in the Klaten district is divided into three areas of observation, ie urban areas, suburban areas, and rural areas. The purpose of this study (1) examines how much the intensity of the transformation that occurred in the region of the study area, (2) analyzing the distribution patterns of transformation that occurred in the region of the study area, (3) examine the factors that affect the intensity of the transformation, (4 ) analyze the impact on food security in Klaten. The method used was a survey method, with the village as the unit of analysis. Statistical analysis by ANOVA test is used to determine the difference of some variables of the study and analysis of the nearest neighbor is used to assess the pattern of transformation. Comparative descriptive analysis carried out to explain how the intensity of the relationship with the transformation of the area of food security in the study area. The result showed (1) variations in the intensity of transformation in the region mostly low level, but have significant differences in areas that have high access, (2) the intensity distribution pattern transformation are largely random, but has regularity when linked with road network, (3) the intensity transformation is influenced by its proximity to the road which can be characterized by population density and on non-agricultural land, (4) food security will become weaker as the intensity of the regional transformation.
