This study aimed to determine the comparison of IL-10 expression based on the grade of histopathological inflammation of gastric mucosa in patients with H. pylori-infected chronic gastritis. This study was a retrospective study, the design of study was cross sectional. The incidence of Helicobacter pylori infection in Indonesia is very high,
but the degree of severity of gastritis and the risk of developing gastric cancer is
extremely low. Interleukin-10 (IL-10) is an anti-inflammatory cytokine that is
considered to play a strong role in determining the grade of severity of gastric
mucosal inflammation due to H. pylori infection. This study aimed to determine
the comparison of IL-10 expression based on the grade of histopathological
inflammation of gastric mucosa in patients with H. pylori-infected chronic
gastritis.
