Summary:Music and songs liturgy in the eucharist the church of St. Antonius Kotabaru Yogyakarta is one part of musical arts found in religious ceremonies Catholics. There are elements inside who had meaning of relic church past and the bible about life relevant to time progress. A liturgical music play important roles in religious ceremonies especially in the eucharist the Catholic Church in Yogyakarta. This research is the research libraries using the method of philosophical hermeneutics with a methodical description elements, deduction-induction, interpretation, holistic, historical continuity, and reflection. The purpose of this research is to elaborate on the role of music and liturgical songs, explains the purpose of liturgical music and songs, and understand the aspects contained in the music and liturgy at the Catholic Church of Saint Antonius Kotabaru into the study of aesthetics. The results of the research are found, concluding that the music and songs of the liturgy of the Eucharist in the Catholic Church of Saint Antonius Kotabaru role as a unifying tool that fosters the relationship people against each other in building solidarity together unto God, music and liturgical songs have a purpose and that is to sanctify the people and glorify God in his creation of the gift of life God gave to all mankind, music and liturgical songs have the philosophical aspects of aesthetics in the perspective that is contained on the content of the lyrics and the melody of the song ordinarium through analysis of aesthetic elements from Thomas Aquinas, among others, include empirical aposteriori and contemplation of the subject against a spiritually minded tune object in accordance with the spirit of the liturgy that would create an atmosphere conducive to prayer and encounter with God who is the source of beauty itself.
