Summary: | Cigarette smoke contains various kinds of gas content one of them is
carbone monoxide gas have a very harmful effect on health. Reducing the number
of smokers in public places is a difficult thing to do. Smoking room is some kind of
solutions for smokers to smoke in place , however the existing smoking room is
just a room whit air circulation which activated manually or without good air
circulation. This final project aims to design an air circulation controller device
in the smoking room which work automatically. ATMega16 microcontroller is
used as the main control and the central datasystem for data processing. TGS
2600 sensor is used as input data that will read carbon monoxide contained in
cigarette smoke, then data of voltage is converted by the ADC on the
microcontroller features. The ADC data is used as the data ppm carbon monoxide
gas and as regulator of the rotational speed of the exhaust fan. Carbon monoxide
gas level will be displayed on LCD and led indicator . The test result showed that
the higher level of carbon monoxide gas in the room increasing the speed of
exhaust fan and when the level of carbon monoxide gas is low , the speed of the
exhaust fan is decreasing. |
