Summary:N-propanol is solvent and intermediate compund which is used ini various industry such as pesticide, insecticide, the manufacture of n-propylamine, printer ink, polyolefine and polyamide molding solvent. There are two stages of processing n- propanol from ethylene and syn-gas with oxo process. The first stage is ethylene hydroformilation process into n-propanal which take place inside a non-adiabatic-non- isothermal-fixed-bed-multitube reactor with Rhodium-Silica catalyst. The second stage is n-propanal hydrogenation process into n-propanol in a non-adiabtic-fixed-bed- multitube reactor with Raney catalyst. N- propanol plant is categorized into low-risk plant for its mainly used process in various plant in the world, furthermore the plant operates at medium temperature and pressure. 79.791,29 The plant will operate for 330 days / year with a n-propanol production capacity of 100000 tons / year. The main raw material required is as much as ton / year of ethylene , 77.183,54 tons per year of syn-gas and 3.425,51 tons / year of ydrogen The plant will be established in the city of Cilegon, Banten province, which required 25.000 m 3 of total area and 214 labors. The utility whch is required such as 4219386 tons/year of water, 83.048,88 tons/year of steam, 407,9 kVA of electricity and 5038,4801 m3/year of fuel for electric generator. From Calculation of economic evaluation, fixed capital is required equal to $22,077,814.97 and working capital is equal to $23,641,198.92. At 100% production rate, obtained ROI before tax of 61,65%, ROI after tax of 40,07%, POT before tax of 1,40 years, POT after tax of 2,00 years, with BEP at 47,39%, SDP at 36,28%, and 22,89% for DCFRR. Based on consideration of the economic evaluation results, this n- propanol plant with capacity 100000 tons / year worth to be studied further
