Topic: This research discuss about the various locks and door handles in Pura Mangkunegaran. From this research, we can classify the social status of the user from each room simply by identify the locks and door handles in Pura Mangkunegaran. Reasoning and Objectives: 1. What kind and variety of the locks and door handles in Pura Mangkunegaran? 2. Does the locks and door handles can identify the social status of the room�s user itself? The main purpose of this research is to understand whether the door handle and locks could identify the social status of its user and to obtain in-depth information on the various locks and door handles that located in mangkunegaran. Research Methods: Using descriptive-analytical method, the research aims to develop a systematic description, factual, and accurate over the data that has been collected and analyze to obtain the conclusion. Using Inductive approach, which is based on observational studies up to the conclusion that formed an empirical generalization. This type of research itself is exploratory, which explore the potential archaeological that contained in some place to discover something that has not been disclosed. Conclusion: 1. The door handle can not indicate the social status of the user from the door handle room itself, except the door handle that used by the Adipati Mangkunegara 2. Some keys, such as espanyolet with tendrils and geometric pattern can indicate the social status of the room's user in Mangkunegaran
