Summary: | The activities estimation of Carbon stock and CO2 absorption is identical to the calculation of allometrik by taking the field data of the diameter of the tree. The way quite effective when coverage of the study of narrow but not so effectively in research studies. Remote sensing techniques can be utilized as a tool and a method to get the estimation of carbon stock information and CO2 absorption. The technique of sensing far are capable to save time, costs, and power to calculate the stock of carbon and absorption of CO2 with forests coverage that are very broad.
This research is meant to: (1) knowing transformation method of the best vegetation index in prediction of carbon stock, and CO2 absorption coverage the trees in tropical forest in the KPH area Gunungkidul Regency, (2) Estimation the content of carbon stock coverage the trees in tropical forest in the KPH area Gunungkidul Regency using allometrik method and remote sensing, (3) Estimation the content of CO2 absorption coverage the trees in tropical forest in the KPH area Gunungkidul Regency using allometrik method and remote sensing.
This research using citra ALOS AVNIR-2 recording 20 June 2009 to do an estimation the stock of carbon and absorption of CO2 in the tropical forests of district gunungkidul, yogyakarta special region. The methods used by using transform vegetation index combined with measurement allometrik calculation data in field then conducted regression analysis.
The result of analysis correlation shown index value of vegetation Different Vegetation Index (DVI) having the largest value correlation to biomass, r = 0.80 and R2 = 0.65 carbon content, r = 0.80 and R2 = 0.64 to absorption of CO2 r = 0.69 and R2 = 0.47. biomass value total 1274.032 kg. / ha, value carbon content total 603.806 kg. / ha, and value absorption of CO2 total 2973.382 |
