One implementation of development and information technology is detector position. At this time to detect the position of a person, just send an SMS to the person to know the whereabouts of his position, but the limited Signal coverage in certain areas, especially mountains, making the system can not be done, therefore, was made an application Tag that can detect the position of a person in mountain. Small shaped tag easier for someone to carry it. This system begins when Tag transmits data such as position and altitude of the mountaineer in the mountain and identities such as a name of the mountaineer who carry the Tag, then the data will be captured by the Transceiver which then relays the information to get to the Base Camp Transceiver. The system uses Radio Frequency YS-C20S as Receiver and Transmitter, and the control system of this tool using the Arduino Nano V3.0 with Time Of Arrival method, then the data from the user tags stored on the SD card using the SD Card module. Based on the results obtained by measuring the maximum distance range of 330 meters in open space, an obstacle such as trees and shrubs do not affect the range of Radio Frequency YS-C20S.
