Summary:Extension through the training method of rice cultivation, comparative study of maize cultivation, and demonstration of composting process among Kulon Progo farmers have been conducted several times, but the application remains unknown. This study aims to know the level of achievement of the rice cultivation training influence, the comparative study of maize cultivation and the demonstration of composting process in Kulon Progo on the knowledge, attitude, skill, motivation, participation, and application. The method used in this research is analytical descriptive method, and it is also conducted a combination of quantitative and qualitative approaches. The population in this research include farmers who have been trained in rice cultivation, comparative study of maize cultivation, and demonstration of composting process. the selected sample includes 320 farmers from 16 villages and 8 sub-regencies. The research result indicates that rice cultivation training contributes a high influence on skills (70.00%), participation among farmer groups (80.40%), and the application of technological innovation (96.29%). Comparative study of maize contributes a high influence on skills (73.06%), motivation (61.29%), and the application of technological innovation (74.78%). demonstration of composting process contributes a high influence on attitude (66,98%),skills (64.09%), participation among farmer groups (61.62%), and the application of technological innovation (75.67%). The lowest achievement level obtained from these three method, is in the category of knowledge, which include the training (51.33%), comparative study (47.44%), and demonstrations (50.72%). Application of technological innovation is always performed by the farmers through farmer groups. Rice cultivation training is able to motivate farmers to participate in the farmer groups and motivate farmers to applicate technological innovation through farmer groups. The result of the comparative study of maize cultivation is able to motivate the farmers, so that the farmers continue with applying technological innovation through farmer groups. Demonstration of composting process improves skill and participation of the farmers in farmer groups, so that the farmers through farmer groups continue with applying technological innovation.
