Summary:The research aimed to analyze factors influencing production of paddy grain, to analyze the feasibility of farming and seeds packaging, to calculate value added, and to formulate the developmentstrategicfor Moro Makmurfarmers groupin TempelSub District Sleman District. The research useddata on the second planting season inyear 2013. The sampling method was purposive random sampling and used 30 sample farmers. The results showed that the significant factors influencing production of paddy grain was the wide of field. Paddy seedling farming business was feasible with the value R/C ratio was 2,58, �/C was 26%, Break Even Point (BEP) ofsales was Rp 310.470,01, BEP of production was 85,41 kg, and the BEP of price was Rp 1.729,53/kg. The results of the feasibility analysis in seed bags production showed that the value R/C ratio was 1,09, �/C was 8,67%, BEP of sales was Rp2.064.999,18, BEP of production was 1.631,51 kg, and BEP of price was Rp6.237,96/kg it means that thebusiness deserves to be developed. The value added obtained from the process ofseed packaging was Rp 1.534,205/kg or Rp220,486/kg/day andthe value added obtained from seedling farming was Rp2.647,84/kg or Rp26,478/kg/day. Result of SWOT analysis indicate that the farmers groupplaced in quadrant III so the strategies that can be developed was WO strategy. The business development strategicthat can be applyin Moro Makmur farmers group wasaccessing low interest rates loan, improvingthe seeds quality with implementing suitable crop-production technology, grabbing the opportunities of fertilizer subsidy program, makingdrying floor and warehouse, market expansion, increasing production capacity of seeds packaging,and extension services have to coach farmers intensively.
