One of the efforts to reduce poverty in Indonesia is to determine the factors that cause poverty in order to know the causes and characteristics of poverty so that the government can determine a strategy and policy models that are effective, efficient, effective and scalable according to the existing conditions. This study aims to identify and analyze the influence of education, population, economic growth and unemployment rank of the poverty level in Yogyakarta Special Province in 2005 through 2012. This research uses secondary data sourced from the Central Bureau of Statistics. data used are time series and cross section which took place in the province of Yogyakarta Special Region which covers four counties and one city. Data taken included education, population, economic growth and the unemployment rate. Adjustud R�square value obtained was 0,875788, this means education, population, economic growth and the unemployment rate contributes its influence on the level of poverty in the province of Yogyakarta Special Region of 87.58% while the remaining 12,42% is affected by variable other.
