This study analyzed the effect of stock market capitalization to aggregate household consumption in Indonesia by using the approach of ARDL-ECM cointegration test. In the analysis, real household consumption is assumed to be linearly affected by the real stock market capitalization. This study used a sample of Indonesia in 1999-2012. In the long run, no evidence of the effect of stock market capitalization to household consumption. In the short term, this study also found no evidence of the effect of stock market capitalization to household consumption in Indonesia.
