Description
Summary:As an increasing load demand, scarcity of fossil fuel and green house gasses effect, utilization of renewable energy resources such as solar and wind energy are done seriously. Effectivity utilization of them is depending on correlation between load capacity and renewable energy potency. The purpose of this research is designing microgrids configuration with solar, wind and grid energy. Software HOMER is used to optimize renewable energy resources with energy storage. Parameters of optimal microgrids configuration such as electricity production cost, configuration effectivity, reliability, capacity factor, CO2 coming from life cycle of PV and wind turbine, wide area of installation and unemployment reduction are used to analyze alternative configurations. The result shows that optimal load profile is achieved when total load is distributed into 4 sub-microgrids. PV-Wind turbine-Grid-Battery with renewable fraction 90% is an optimal microgrids configuration. At this condition, electricity production cost is Rp 2,810.00 per kWh
