Description
Summary:Magnetotelluric method is a geophysical method which uses natural electromagnetic waves as the source to determine the subsurface resistivity contrast. Resistivity modeling describe the vertical and horizontal distribution of resistivity value on the line of measurement in order to identify the cap rock of the geothermal system. Apparent resistivity and phase against periode are used to determine in inversion modeling through changing the parameter to get the best resistivity model. Simisuh geothermal prospect area is located ini Graben Rao and hosted in a tecto-vulcanic enviroinment. Fifteen measuring point are used to asses cap rock. A northwest-southeast magnetotelluric profile and a northeast-southwest magnetotelluric profile are chosed to show the extent of possible resources. The profiles show that low resisvity (<37 Ωm) is identified from the surface to a depth of 600 m. That high conductivity layer indicates cap rock of the Simisuh geothermal system. Top reservoir is identified laid below 600 m with resistivity range 37-139 Ωm.
