Summary: | This research describes the characteristics of reservoirat �RORO� field Air Benakat formation at South Sumatra Basin, Jambi by means of acoustic impedance model based inversion. The data used in this research consists of9 lines ofseismic 2D post-stack data, 1 well, 5 horizons, and 5 markers.
In this study the seismic data are inverted to acoustic impedance value which is derived by the well to change the volume of seismic data to volume of acoustic impedance data. Model-based inversion of seismic method is used to perform the inversion process. The inverted result is used as a process to delineate shally sand layer that is used as the reservoir and the existence of shale layer is as the seal. Shaly sand reservoir that meets the criteria in the Air Benakat formation is seen by the high acoustic impedance value at (8162 � 10307((m / s) * (g / cc))) which is asosiated with effective porosity value at 1,5 � 15 %. Inversion results show that the distribution of acoustic impedance is able to delineate the distribution of reservoir of Air Benakat formation. |
