Summary:Partnership in an education implementation of life skill in the sewing sector that was done by a course institution and training (LKP) in Yogyakarta City was an important factor to be examined in order to this program become a partnership caused it was t o implement a closeness between the government, society and the private through the balanced roles in every sectors. The education program of life skill in sewing sector was a government program in order to develop the society meanwhile the responsibility to effort the society was the responsibility both between the government, society and the private. This was appropriate with the concept of a good governance which assured the equality process, similarity, cohesion and the role balance to control the government, society and the private, they had a relationship on an equal. The objective of this research was to describe the partnership which was done by the course institution and training (LKP) in sewing sectors in this case LKP Ar -Rum, LKP Modisa, LKP Yogya Design School both the partnership with the government and the private or the business through the roles in every sectors in implementation this program. From this role we could know the partnership model. This research used a qualitative interpretative research which drawn the government role, society role in this case a course institution and training and the private role in implementing the educational program of life skill in sewing sector and its partnership model. In this research that the government was still dominated the role meanwhile the course institution and training (LKP) as an implementator from this government program and the private as the training places and the placement the workers for the candidate who fulfill the qualification although in a few the candidate who worked in the business. In this research was known about the partnership model between the course institution and the training (LKP) with the government which had the partnership model two ways but it was not on an equal or it was a subordinate union of partnership that the government as a strong sector and the society in this case course institution and the training was as a weak sectors or as an implementator. Meanwhile the partnership model between the course institution and training (LKP) with the private having an appearance partnership model or included pseudo partnership which is meant a cooperation that was not really because both of them had not known the benefit of the partnership from this program. See n from the society effort this program can not effort the society but given the compensation to the candidate who had an individual competency or a group.
