Slamet Raharjo, M.P ETD Dog (Canis familiaris) was one of popular pet. Pet dog potentially get injured. Sambiloto (Andrographis paniculata) was one of the medicinal plants used as remedy. The aim of this research was to study the figures of physically skin incision wound healing on dog (Canis familiaris) treated with powder of sambiloto (Andrographis paniculata). Four local female healthy dogs aged 7-9 months, weighed 8-10 kg were used in this research. Dogs adapted for one week and given ivermectine as an anthelmintic. All dogs treated with 2 artificial skin incision (Grouped A and B) for 8 cm long vertically on the right and left flank. Skin incision on group A treated with Enbatic® powder and group B treated with powder of sambiloto. Wound healing observed physically for 7 consecutive days with parameters of the swelling, the redness, the linkage of the wound edge and the wetness of the wound. The observation results show that the skin incision wound healing process on group A and B giving not significant differences. On group A the swelling disappear on day 6, the redness disappear on day 7, the linkage of the wound edge heal on day 7 and the wetness disappear on day 3. On group B the swelling disappear on day 4, the redness disappear on day 7, the linkage of the wound edge heal on day 7 and the wetness disappear on day 2. Based on the results and discussion it could be concluded that the powder of sambiloto giving better result than the control in skin incision wound healing on dog. It needs further research with more samples and various concentration of sambiloto for the best result. [Yogyakarta] : Universitas Gadjah Mada 2014 Thesis NonPeerReviewed , GUSTIAN and , drh.
