Description
Summary:binding protein 2 (IGFBP2) gene on DOC body weight until 12 weeks of age and four weekly rate of growth of native chicken and its effects on the estimation of variance components, genetic parameters, and breeding values. Researchs were done over three generations using a hundred DOC Kampung chicken as initial generation (G0). Forty-eight chicken (32 females and 16 males) were genotyped with SNP C1032T of IGFBP2 gene using PCR-RFLP method, retrieved 3 genotype (CC, CT, and TT) and 2 alleles (C and T). Eight pairs of mating with 1 male mate 4 females originated from initial generation, produced 415 progenies as the first generation (G1). Nineteen males and 19 females were genotyped as their parents. The second generation (G2) was obtained from mating based on its genetic polymorph CC><CC
