Description
Summary:In DKI Jakarta, Green Open Space (RTH) lived 9.6 percent of the total area of DKI Jakarta 661.52 km ² (oceans: 6977.5 km ²) (source: Reuters, 25/09/2010). Currently has a ratio of green open space (RTH) per capita of about 7.08 m2, is relatively lower than other cities in the world. In fact, the year 1965 -1985, green space in Jakarta recorded 37.2 percent of the total area of Jakarta (Source: Kompas daily, 25/09/2010). While population growth in Jakarta increased between 2000 and 2010 there was an average addition of 135,000 inhabitants per year. According to the census of the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) 2010, The population of Jakarta has reached 9.588 million people (source: Kompas daily, 25/09/2010). Difficulty adding green space in a densely populated neighborhood of Central Jakarta City Government recognized and West Jakarta. Both the site is densely populated settlements, namely Johar Baru subdistrict and Tambora (source: Kompas daily, 25/09/2010). As Logical Consequences of rapid physical development the city is increasing need for the development of land that were not offset the availability of adequate land. On the other hand, the potential of green space on private land, such as the yard or garden building, has not taken into account as a contribution to the Green Open Spaces of the City. Nevertheless, the green areas on private land is also not less susceptibility to be converted into other functions. Protection and control of Private Green Space or garden courtyard is necessary, given the functions carried, that the function of ecological, social, and aesthetic as a whole can improve the quality of the urban environment. In an effort to increase green open space in densely populated settlements as DKI Jakarta, in Johar Baru Village in District Johar Baru, Central Jakarta, especially for the creation of a comfortable, productive and sustainable, then it's time to give adequate attention to the existence of space open public, particularly Private Green Open Space.
