According to Moss theory, functional matrix of soft tissue is a major regulator of bone growth process. This study aims to determine the size comparison between muted children and normal children. The study was an observational analytic with cross sectional design. Subjects were 20 muted Java children aged 7-13 studied in SLBN I in Bantul. Subjects were taken the lateral cephalometric radiographs to measure the vertical component of dentocraniofacial. Data of normal children was drawn from Alphianti in 2011. The results were analyzed by unpaired t test and ANOVA to determine the significance differences in each age group at the muted children. Results showed significant difference (p<0.05) in variable posterior facial height and height of the ramus of mandible in 11.6-13 years group of age. It was concluded that the size of posterior facial height (S-Go) and height of the ramus of mandible (Ar-Go) of muted children aged 7-13 years was lower than normal children.
