Under to the Indonesian Supreme Court Regulation No. 1 of 2008, all civil cases to go through the mediation process, the authors are interested to take the title of the process of mediation. The purpose of this final project is to qualify for graduation Diploma Program 3 Vocational School of Law, Gadjah Mada University in order to earn the title of Associate Expert Law and is intended to determine the process of mediation in contested divorce cases in Yogyakarta Religious Court. With the completion of the mediation process is expected to civil cases can be resolved with a simple, fast and low cost. The process of mediation in contested divorce cases in Yogyakarta Religious Court through the pre mediation first and then the mediation stage. In accordance with the analysis of the case, the mediation process adopted in contested divorce cases in Yogyakarta Religious Court has been run in accordance with the mediation procedure set forth in the Supreme Court Regulation No. 1 of 2008.
