The epidermal thickness between puppies and aged dog is different in every part of dog�s bodies. There are two types of cells in epidermis, which are keratinocyte and non keratinocyte. Keratinocyte is located in stratum basal, stratum granulosum, stratum spinosum, stratum lucidum, dan stratum korneum. Non keratinocyte consists of melanocyte, Langerhans cell, and Merkell cell. In the normal dog, skin thickness generally 2,6 � 5,2 mm in length with total 3-5 cells in epidermis. The difference between epidermal thickness in puppies and old dog is due to the aging processinternally and externally.
