Summary:This article discusses women's interests as a determinant factor which makes women become resilient in facing the disaster in Imogiri, Bantul. This paper describes about what and how women's interests are applied in disaster management. The Background of chosen focus on women's interest in disaster management based on the fact that women's resilience in facing disaster is not only due to the strength of social capital owned by women, but also women's interests factors which play as encouragement of women's resilience in facing disaster. In the process of collecting as well as exploring data and information is chosen to be used qualitative research methods such as case studies, using secondary data from \"Strategy for Disaster Resilient Women\" research conducted by Dr. Partini, Dr. Bevaola Kusumasari and Dr. Hempri Suyatna in the Faculty Collaborative Research Grant 2013. The results shows that women's interest in disaster management is manifested through the vitality and productive power. The vitality and productive power of women are proved to have a major contribution in the formation of women's mentally resilience in facing disaster, although in disaster management policy in Imogiri, Bantul, the role and contribution of women is less accommodated as the consequence of strength stability of state The stimulus of vitality and productive power of women in facing disaster which makes the women in Imogiri, Bantul, is capable to be independent, resilient and innovative, despite having to face a double burden during disaster management.
