Description
Summary:Juwana Catchment has been suffering several major past flood events with significant loss. Since 2010, the flood risk management is applied in this catchment includes the plan of retention basin and dam development in Logung Sub-Catchment in 2014. The establishment of retention basin and dam to reduce the flood risk especially in Logung Sub-Catchment should be evaluated. This study conducted an assessment of flood risk before and after the establishment by using OpenLISEM as flood model to generate the flood hazard map. The vulnerability assessment is focused on crops with four crops type: red chili, watermelon, sugarcane and paddy. These crops are the predominant crops on the flood prone area. Risk evaluation shows that the retention basin and dam only reduce the total discharge for 2 years and 10 years return period but for 25 years return period the retention basin and dam are giving very small influence to reduce flood risk.
