The challenges even complicated to calculate position in multi-storey buildings. The presence of a barometer sensors on smartphones open up opportunities to use the barometer to measure the vertical position so it can be used to detect the position of the floor. Together with Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) sensor such as accelerometers and magnetometers, positioning systems in multi-storey buildings can be realized. Pedestrian Dead Reckoning (PDR) is a method that using IMU sensor for calculate position. PDR used widely to sensor-based positioning system. The position can be determined by using the detection step, direction and position of the floor using data from accelerometer, magnetometer, and barometer sensor. The use of a barometer sensor on indoor positioning system obtained a 92.5% success rate in detecting the position of the floor. Position estimation error rate calculations on different floors displacement obtained an average error rate of 9.38 meters for two storey displacement and displacement of 12.53 meters to three floors.
