Summary:Rabies is an acute infectious disease of the central nervous system caused by a virus of the genus Lyssavirus family Rhabdovirus and which are zoonotic. The purpose of this study was to determine the rabies prevention program in the city of Yogyakarta Year 2013-2014. Rabies vaccination data retrieval and data Animal bites transmitting rabies (HPR) in 2013-2014 conducted in the Department of Industry, Trade and Agricultural Cooperatives (DISPERINDAGKOPTAN), in addition to the officers conducted the interview also. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and summaries. Rabies prevention program in the city of Yogyakarta implemented by means of vaccination, counseling, and depopulation HPR wild by the Department of Industry Trade and Agricultural Cooperatives. Vaccination of Animals transmitting rabies (HPR) in the form of dogs and cats in 2013 as many as 778 tails, the number of bites as much as 7 times and entirely negative expressed rabies. 2014 vaccination Pelaksanaa months from January to April has been done on the tail HPR 625. Catching wild HPR during the years 2013-2014 by 2 dogs. Rabies prevention program in the city of Yogyakarta is done by DISPERINDAGKOPTAN already well underway.
