Description
Summary:An antenna is a basic component of any communication device required for both transmitting as well as receiving of the signal. All these technologies would not have been possible without the development of antennas. In Government and Commercial applications like mobile or wireless communication, high performance aircrafts, satellites and missile applications, where size, cost, weight, performance are the constraints, low profile antennas such as Microstrip Antennas are used. The Microstrip Antenna (MSA) that have designed can work on an ultrawide band is Printed Log Periodic Antenna. Printed Log Periodic Antenna has many attractive features like low profile, light weight, small volume and low production cost. To enhancing the narrow bandwidth, log periodic concept is being used. Log periodic antenna is important with their ability to show nearly frequency independent characteristics over wide band of frequencies although they have relatively simple geometries. The Printed Log Periodic Antenna contains 9 pairs of parallel elements on both sides of the microstrip feed line runs along the center of the antenna. The range of this Printed Log Periodic Antenna is from 2.2 GHz to 2.6 GHZ. It can include more width bandwidth and it designed the gain up to 10 dB. Moreover the substrat makes the antenna portable comparing Log Periodic Antenna usually.
