Description
Summary:Skidway owned by PT.McDermott Indonesia is located in Batu Ampar, Batam is a plate supported on piles or bore pile. Skidway main fuction is as a board fabrication for heavy weight structures such as tower, oil rig platform, and jacket. Skidway current capacity is 24.000 tons. Facing the development of oil and gas, skidway capacity needs to be improved. This final project was conducted to get the new design for skidway with a total bearing load of 30.000 tons and a point load of 5.000 tons. Skidway is divided into 2 areas where design load for Area 2 is increased by 30% due to load out process. Skidway design process starts by obtaining design load as a basis data for planning. N-SPT data from soil investigation was analyzed to obtain pile, bore pile bearing capacity and soil modulus of elasticity. Comparison between pile bearing capacity and design load will give the size of single panel plate which is used as distance between each pile. Plate design process is based on the provision of SNI 03-2847-2002. An initial design stept is done in order to determine the approximate dimension of the structures as an input in the program SAP2000. SAP2000 output such as moment, shear load was manually processed to obtain the design for reinforcing steel size and spacing. The result of the modelling process give maximum moment of 1749 kNm & -822,2 kNm (Area 1) and 2968,4 kNm & -1753,4 kNm (Area 2). The design result is 0,50,5 m pile with 1 m distance between each pile and jacked to -7,5 m below ground level (Area 1). Bore pile with diameter of 1 m is used with distance between each bore pile is 1,5 m and bored to -8 m below the ground level (Area 2). The design of reinforcing steel for 1 m thick plate is = 25mm
