ETD Overspeed is a moment where a machine runs with the rotation speed goes faster than the maximum limit. This moment is one kind of an error that often happen to a machine which can causing a fatal broke to the machine, this moment can also causing the machine explode if the moment happen last longer and over and over, this moment is also very dangerous especially if it happen to an electric motor which act to be the mover supply for other machine in industry. This last project have a purpose to protect electric motors from the Overspeed moment with the indication of sound pressure level produced by the electric motors, this device can be an alternate protector for electric motors and other big machines from the Overspeed moment. This device works with Arduino Uno as the main controller, microphone Be-Star BCM BCM9765P-44, microphone pre-amplifier, and rectifier as the sound catcher unit that will after the sound from electric motors, and then the data in signature of voltage will be changed by ADC feature in the Arduino Uno. The data will be used as the decibel data (dB SPL) which will be used as the indication data of Overspeed if it goes over the limit that chosen by program. LCD will show the dB level, if the dB level goes over the limit and happen over the time from the level and time that have chosen by so the relay will turning off the power supply of the electric motors.
