welfare of the community. During this time, management is less traditionally
consider sustainability aspects. This study aims to determine the structure of forest
stands of the people, the potential of the wood on people's forests Sumbersari
Hamlet and the amount of volume of trees that can be harvested each year to
consider the principles of sustainability.
This study was carried out in Hamlet Community forest Sumbersari,
Tumpakrejo Village, Kalipare District, Malang Regency. Collecting data in the
field was conducted in November 2013 with a stratified sampling technique that
divides the yard into a community forest, moor, and alas / Wono. Then proceed
with the retrieval of forest parcels by random people, with the approach of the
total area of private forest Ahan. IS (Intensity Sampling) which is used by 1% on
the moor and the yard, while the IS for alas / Wono at 100%. The calculation of
the volume of trees is done by using the TBBC (Free High Trunk Branch) with
the assumption that the branches used as firewood. To determine stand structure,
carried out by counting the number of seedlings, whereas saplings, poles and trees
along with measurement of diameter and height assessment. Calculation etat
carried out by using the Von Mantel formula. The data obtained were processed
using Microsoft Excel field, then counted to determine stand structure, tree and
potential etat.
From the results of the study showed the structure of Hamlet Sumbersari
community forests dominated by seedlings and pole levels, whereas the dominant
species is the type Sengon and Teak. Potential of the type of Teak is 5448.255 m3,
Sengon of 10,251 m3 and mixed types of 1690.78 m3, while the magnitude of
Teak etat types of 726.434 m3 / year, Sengon kind of 4100.4 m3 / year, and a
mixed type of 676.312 m3 / year. |
