This paper aims to explain the transformation of Jamsostek into BPJS Ketenagakerjaan as a social security agency which has purpose to welfare the indonesians especially workers from informal sector. Moreover, this paper aims to explain how to workers from informal sector try to protect themselves by BPJS Ketenagakerjaan, such as the methods of Pastajom (Community of Taxi Driver Jombor) to collect the dues. The methods of this paper are direct observation, interview, and also library research. Direct observation and interview is conducted in the period of February until May 2014. Direct observation is conducted by coming through to Pastajom in 12 April and May while collecting dues for BPJS Ketenagakerjaan. For interview is conducted with person who has responsibility to collect dues and members of Pastajom. Then, for library research I read several books and internet research for additional information. Based on direct observation, interview, and library research, Pastajom has obtained the benefit from BPJS Ketenagakerjaan. However, several members of Pastajom is confused with that transformation of Jamsostek into BPJS Ketenagakerjaan. Pastajom used method of collecting dues with two people. Collecting dues is centralized in Jombor, first person is collecting dues then the partner takes the dues then transfers it to BPJS Ketenagakerjaan via Bank BPD.
