Summary: | Wonosobo district has mountainous and hilly landscape Topographically. Factors such topography supported an average rainfall 3400 mm with 196 rainy days was the day, causing the area is very prone to landslides and cause runoff and erosion rate is quite high. This can result in the potential for critical land and ultimately reduce productivity and crop land. This study aims to calculate the coefficient of surface runoff on forest land and Jenitri agroforestry monoculture and determine the level of erosion on forest land Jenitri monoculture and agroforestry.
Location of the study is Jenitri monoculture forests and agroforestry in Andongsili Village, District Mojotengah, Wonosobo, Central Java Province. The research method is done by using the comparative method and descriptive on making erosion plots measuring 22 x 4 m. Data obtained in the form of rainfall data, runoff and suspension are deposited in the drum at every single rain. Data analysis was performed using SPSS program and Ms.Excel.
Research conducted over three months, indicating that in monoculture forests Jenitri have erosion rate of 0.0013 tonnes / ha with runoff coefficient of 0.08. While the rate of erosion of agroforestry 0.0010 tons / ha with runoff coefficient of 0.01. Factors affecting runoff and erosion that occurred in both the land is land cover, soil texture, and tillage is done. Jenitri forest produce runoff that large but low erosion rate due to the low level of land treatment though not layered canopy strata, and soil fraction is dominated by clay. While agroforestry produce runoff and erosion is low because it has a multi-storey strata of canopy closure and closing down plants. |
