One of cancer treatment was done by angiogenesis inhibition, in order to prevent nutrient suplay into cancer cells. Previous research showed that aquadest extract of Pandanus tectorius leaf had cytotoxic activity. This research was purposed to study anti-angiogenesis activity of aquadest extract of Pandanus tectorius leaf on corio allantoic membrane of chicken embryo. P. Tectorius leaf was collected in Kukup beach, Gunungkidul, DIY. Those leafs were extracted with aquadest by maseration method. The extract was used to test anti-angiogenesis activity on CAM of chicken embryo. Treatment group was created based on previous research with IC50 value 61,28 μg/mL. Treatment groups were divided at variety of concentrations, those were: ½ IC50 (30,64 μg/mL), ¾ IC50 (45,96 μg/mL), IC50 (61,28 μg/mL), 1¼ IC50 (76,6 μg/mL), and 1½ IC50 (91,92 μg/mL). Each consentration was repeated four times. The result showed angiogenesis inhibition presentages in order from the highest to the lowest were 59,46% (91,92 μg/mL), 56,757% (76,6 μg/mL), 52,25% (61,28 μg/mL), 43,24% (45,96 μg/mL), and 29,73% (30,64 μg/mL) respectively. It means that aquadest extract of P. Tectorius leaf could inhibit angiogenesis activity. The higher concentration aquadest extract of P. Tectorius leaf, the higher its anti-angiogenesis activity. It could be concluded that aquadest extract of P. Tectorius leaf has anti-angiogenesis activity on chorio allantoic membrane of chicken embryo.
