Abdul Gofir, Sp.S(K) ETD Introduction: Percentage incidence of recurrent stroke within the first 30 days after the attack is 3-10% and the risk occurs in the first 6 months is 8.8%. Antiplatelet therapy in patients with ischemic stroke to prevent recurrent stroke. Differences in the results of previous studies related to the effectiveness of antiplatelet therapy of aspirin-clopidogrel combination compared to single antiplatelet therapy of aspirin in preventing recurrent stroke events. Methods: This research includes an observational cohort study conducted at RSUP Dr. Sardjito. The first group of ischemic stroke patients who received single antiplatelet therapy of aspirin (77 patients). The second group of ischemic stroke patients who received combination antiplatelet therapy of aspirinclopidogrel (70 patients). Outcome of this study was the incidence of recurrent stroke within 6 months after the first stroke. Data obtained from secondary data, medical records and follow-up the incidence of recurrent stroke partly carried by contacting the patient or the patient's family. Results:Recurrent stroke occurred in 8.6% of stroke patients who received combination antiplatelet therapy of aspirin-clopidogrel compared with 13.0% of patients in the group receiving a single antiplatelet therapy of aspirin (RR 1.22, 95% CI 0.807 to 1.850, p = 0.391). Conclusions: Incidence of recurrent stroke 6 months after first ischemic stroke at RSUP Dr. Sardjito Yogyakarta, among patients receiving combination antiplatelet therapy of aspirin-clopidogrel and aspirin antiplatelet single is no different.
