This research aims to analyze Pb2+ with addition AgNP using dithizone as ligand quantitatively. The peak of absorbance due to the surface plasmon resonance shifted as a result of interaction between Pb-dithizone complex and AgNP as observed by spectrophotometer UV-Vis. At certain pH, effect of other cations and anion: Ni2+, Cd2+, Zn2+, Fe3+, Co2+, Hg2+, Cu2+, Ca2+, Mg2+, Al3+, K+, Na+, NO3�, SO42�, PO43�, F�, Cl�, Br�, was also studied. The results show that increase of Pb2+ concentration decrease the absorbance of AgNP. The addition of other cations up to 10 ppm to the solution has no significant effect. However, addition of Cl� and Br�, has great effect on the absorbance. It can be concluded that AgNP colloidal can be used to improve limit of detection of Pb2+ analysis, with LoD and LoQ are 0.281 and 0.938 ppm, respectively.
