Description
Summary:A study in potential contamination of BTEX pollutants in gas stations 44.552.10 has been studied. Ground water contamination was caused by leaking of underground storage tanks in 1999. Modelling of BTEX contamination was studied using REMFuel software with 4 scenarios or variables. These variables are natural parameters of research areas, hydraulic conductivity, depth of ground water, and decay rate. Human health hazard potential was studied by accomplishment assessment of BTEX concentration in ground water with BTEX maximum standard by WHO. After 15 th year, contamination of benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, and o-xylene are 1010, 30, 0, and 3.5 m, respectively. BTEX contamination potential is directly proportional to the time, after 20 th year, contamination of benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, and o-xylene are 1330, 45, 0, 5 m, respectively. Modelling result showed that hydraulic conductivity and decay rate have affected potential contamination.
