This research aims to know the law enforcement towards the misuse of foreigners� stay permit in Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta . The type of this research was the juridical normative, based on Law Act Number 6 in the year of 2011 about Immigration. The Primary Data gathered from informants research consisting of Head of Sections in Kantor Imigrasi Kelas I Yogyakarta by using structured interview guidance, and secondary data in the form of statistical data about the traffic of foreigners coming out and in, who were served by the Officers of Kantor Imigrasi Kelas I Yogyakarta. The data analysis using the descriptive qualitative method, obtained the research results that stay permit abuse happened either overstayed and the misuse of visit stay permit which were being used by the foreigners to work. Law enforcement for the violation of stay permit for foreigners were the administrative actions of immigration, which were in the form of fine. The violations were intentional by the foreigners, despite the unfamiliarity of the stay permit used in Indonesia. Keywords: Immigration law enforcement, stay permit misuse
