Description
Summary:The Solidarity of Wives of United Indonesia Cabinet Members (SIKIB) is association for wives of United Indonesia Cabinet Members to support the government program. The SIKIBs five pillar program toward prosperous Indonesia, is held in Tanjung Pasir Village, Teluk Naga Sub District, Tangerang District, Banten province. This SIKIB Program is in synergy with development of coastal villages conducted by the Indonesian Army Navy in Tanjung Pasir Navy Post (Posal), so that the two programs from two different institutions are synergized to achieve maximum results for the community. This research employed qualitative and quantitative method and the data was collected with interviews, questionnaires, observations, document studies and literature studies, and taking pictures/visual image. The research on SIKIB program was conducted to determine the communitys response and expectation, obstacles encountered, and optimization of strategies to be carried out. The respondents were the SIKIB implementation team, the village head and the community of Tanjung Pasir village. The program provided benefits to the community, seen from the average value of the responses which is above the average expectation value. The encountered challenge included lack of educators, low reading interest, limited introduction of technology and information, and the less frequency of health social charity. Some indicators have low response and expectation values, because the communitys expectations may change over time and the increased needs require more attention. This study resulted in the findings that the program being implemented should be optimized so that its benefit is more maximal. Strategy to do is to increase the number of educators in order to maximize the learning process, increase interest in reading by adding more diverse and more interesting books, especially with regard to coastal communities, expand the introduction of technology and information so that community get more benefits and add frequency of health care services to maintain the cleanliness of the environment and improve the quality of public health, and not to ignore the peoples expectations and needs which will change over time.
