The impact of the Gowa war is thousands Buginese people migrated to other islands near Sulawesi, like the Borneo. They are led by Daeng Mangkona Lamohang or Pua Ado I, moved to East Kalimantan. The Bugis first arrival on January 21, 1668. They were welcomed by Sultan Kutai giving migrants land in Kampung Sungai Karang floor around Mumus. They live together with the locals until the independence of the Republic of Indonesia. Then, on September 26, 2010 riots were allegedly ethnic conflict in East Kalimantan. The conflict between Bugis and Dayak. That conflict showed in multicultural societies contain a conflict potential. This research aim to reveal the values of the Bugis in East Kalimantan, in an attempt to systematize the value to be transformed to the young generation in order to prevent ethnic conflicts in a multicultural society life. Method of this study is combines between survey and philosophical hermeneutics analysis. This study begins with field studies through interviews with some of the Bugis community in East Kalimantan, especially in the provincial capital Samarinda. Hermeneutical interview results were analyzed with multiple devices such as a methodical analysis of historical analysis, descriptive, heuristic, and interpretive. This research result is a reference on value systems that underlie public attitudes in overseas Bugis life in East Kalimantan and can be used as a model in the conflicts prevention and resolution in a multicultural society as found in Indonesia.
