Description
Summary:Additional intermittent PV generation and variability load profiles can cause problems in voltage regulation of power systems. Nowadays, PV does not participate in the system voltage control; it can cause a voltage increase or decrease and cause voltage fluctuation disturbance along the feeder. However, the situation can be different if PV participated in voltage control. This paper proposes an approach of flower pollination algorithm as a solution to determine optimal reactive power value that can be produced by PV. Result showed PV generation as variable power factor can positively affect voltage profile and can also reduce voltage fluctuation disturbance both in distribution and transmission system.
