The a i m o f C e n t r a l J ava L ay O u t P o l i c y i s t o e q u a l i z e a n d t o o p t i m a l i z e o f s p a c e e x p l o i t a t i o n b e t w e e n t h e Top p o l i c y , t h e c e n t r a l p o l i c y and t h e r e g i o n a l p o l i c y . Idealy, o n e y ear a f t e r t h e C e n t r a l J a v a L ay O ut P o l i c y a n o u n c e d , a l l r e g i o n s i n C e n t r a l J a v a would h a v e t a k e i n a c t i o n t o p r e p a r e d of R e g i o n a l P l a n n i n g . Karanganyar r e g i o n is c l o s e d t o S u r a k a r t a City. E v e n t h o u g h t i t ‘ s d e f f e r e n t on a d m i n i s t r a t i v e , but p h y s i c a l l y i t ’ s b ecome p a r t o f S u r a k a r t a C i t y . B e s i d e t h a t , S u r a k a r t a M u n i c i p a l is a C e n t e r Growth o f t h e E i g h t C e n t r a l J a v a Area D e v e l o p m e n t . T h a t i s why the population growth i n Jaten, Colomadu and G o n d a n g r e j o Sub D i s t r i c f a s t e r t h a n a n o t h e r Sub D i s t r i c i n Karanganyar Region.
