Summary: | Abstract
The growth of patchouli on Andisol at various morphologies and characteristics was studied at Sumbang, Banyumas, Central Java.
The objectives of this research was to find out the suitability of morphology and characteristics of Andisol for growth of patchouli. Selected data were soil characteristics (physical and chemical properties), land characteristics and production. The data obtained were primary and secondary data, that in continue be interpreted according to growth of patchouli at Andisols soil. Relationship between growth of patchouli morphologically and the characteristics at Andisols soil was done for land suitability evaluation.
Based on survey, laboratory analysis, description of profile and interpretation of data, Gandatapa-Blembeng I Sumbang Andisols soil was very suitable for patchouli plant growth. The production was 25.000 kg/ha and the production of Limpakuwus Andisols soil was 23.000 kg/ ha. Compared to the other soils in Banyumas production of patchouli at Andisols was high enough. High patchouli leaf growth and production after to research caused by physical and chemical properties good Andisols be compared to other soil.
