Summary:Semarang consists of various ecological landscapes, which are unique and indigenious, such was coastal plain, plain, undulating, rolling and hilly areas. The rapid urbanization of Semarang has altered those ecological landscape as natural ecosystem, to man-made ecosystem. The various residential building density (unit/Ha), intensity (Building Coverage Ratio, Floor Area Ratio, Green Coverage Ratio) and ecological landscape in Semarang, is likely to alter the microclimate. So, we need a study to recognize the relationship between residential building environment and its effect to the microclimate. The objectives of this study are : 1) to identify the average of air temperature, relative humidity, and wind velocity that are caused by various residential building density and ecological landscape
