Although, Parasamnya Bantul Regency office compound has been renovated since 1993, it has not been finished perfectly yet, especially the construction of its park Therefore, the research was aimed to know factors which caused the unsuccessfullness of the land aquisition on the office park reconstruction such as: (1) the finding, especially due to the compensation in the process of land acquisition upon private land, (2) the support of the society to the project both from those whose land was used and would be used for the project as well as the support from the member of the House of Representatives of Bantul Regency. The research was done through document study and survey. The survey was done by carrying out interview to several informant and giving questionaire to land holders whose land was used and would be used for the project. The data showed that: (1) the _funding from the local government was not fully available : (2) the member of the House of Representatives of Bantul Regency fully supported the project, whereas there were only a small number of the society supported it.
