ABSTRACT The title of this research is Iblis Tidak Pernah Mati by Seno Gumira Ajidarma: Gramsci's Hegemony Analysis, has aims to describe ideologies formation in Iblis Tidak Pernah Mati, ideologies formation in society, and historical rela¬tion of Iblis Tidak Pernah Mati as a part of ideologies negotiation taken place in society. This research conduct using Gramsci's hegemony theory research method. In determining ideologies identification inthe short stories of Iblis Tidak Pernah Mati, the writer observe the similarities of statements of the characters, settings, and events in Iblis Tidak Pernah Mati using the concept and theoretical typology of ideologies, then analyze the relations of correla¬tion or subordination among those ideologies. The next step is comparing ideologies formation in Iblis Tidak Pernah Mati with ideologies formation in society, and the last step is relating the existence of Iblis Tidak Pernah Mati and Seno Gumira Ajidarma with the historical situation. The results of this research show that in Iblis Tidak Pernah Mati there are some dominant ideologies such as capitalism, authoritarianism, and milita¬rism encountered subaltern ideologies such as socialism, feudalism, racialism, vandalism, and anarchism. Besides those ideologies, there are other ideolo¬gies such as democracy and humanism, that take a role as negotiators. As an organic intellectual from capitalistic society, Seno Gumira Ajidarma through Iblis Tidak Pernah Mati had negotiated capitalism ideology with the other ideologies such as socialism, democracy, and humanism.
