總結:The main aim of this research is to examine, both theoretically (analytically) and experimentally, the flexural behavior of structurally "over-reinforced" High-Strength Concrete (HSC) beams, in which additional stirrups as confinement were introduced at the compression regions. The laboratory test included twelve 200 mm x 300 mm x 4000 mm of structuraly HSC beams, which were designed to resist bending moment. The beams were designed, both conventionally (under-reinforced) and over-reinfOced. Several beams were confined at the compressive path with rectangular closed strirrups, while the remaining beams were conventionally detailed. In comparison with conventionally detailed beams, the presence of confinement was shown to increase the bending moment capacity and ductility of the beams. There was a good agreement as a result, that is, beams of 60 MPa and 80 MPa were able to achieve flexural capacity up to 215.5% and 223.3%. respectively, these values were known greater than found in beams which were conventionally detailed according to the current Code Provisions.
