Summary: | The characteristic of dilatant fluid flow consist of iron sand and water has been studied within a pipe. The fluid flow in horizontal elbow pipe , with radius of curvature is 0.96 m and 3,81 cm diameter.
The concentration of sand, varies from 4% to 13%. The variation of flow rate within a range of 0.2 Ws to 2.5 1/s.
The results show that the theology of dilatant fluid influenced by iron sand concentrations, flow rates and the forms of the pipe. Increasing the mass concentration will increase wall shear and fluid viscosity.
